  • How To Kiss Michael Keast

    A.R. Williams

    eBook (, Jan. 23, 2012)
Helena Fairchild is ten years old with unruly, untameable hair and an attitude to match. On her tenth birthday she is given a very special present – the diary of her best friend Ellie, who died six months previously. As Helena starts to read through the diary, she realises Ellie had a lot of unanswered questions about life. From investigating what heaven must be like, and if beef crisps are really made of cows, Helena sets about discovering the answers to these questions as she finds herself drawn closer to the memory of her best friend. But her biggest challenge comes in the kissing of the very lovely and footballing-mad Michael Keast – a quest interrupted by her well-meaning but interfering and cantankerous grandparents, a class infestation of chickenpox, and the nastiness of her arch-nemesis and class cow Daisy Monroe. But the challenge isn't easy, and, despite learning as much as she can about football, Helena begins to wonder if she'll ever achieve the moment Ellie always dreamed of – a kiss from Michael Keast.

  • Letters Written During a Trip to Southern India & Ceylon in the Winter of 1876-1877

    C. R. Williams

Paperback (Leopold Classic Library, Dec. 7, 2015)
About the Book India is the seventh-largest country in the world by area, and the second-most populous one with over 1.2 billion people. Historically it was home to the urban Indus Valley Civilisation during the 3rd millennium BC, and was where the oldest scriptures associated with Hinduism were composed. Georgaphically the sub-continent is bounded by the Indian Ocean to the south, the Arabian Sea to the southwest, and by the Bay of Bengal in the southeast. India borders Pakistan to the west; China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the northeast; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. In international surveys India ranks highly on natural and cultural resources owing to its rich historical legacy, however in other aspects its tourism infrastructure remains somewhat underdeveloped.About us Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades. While these books may have occasional imperfections, we consider that only hand checking of every page ensures readable content without poor picture quality, blurred or missing text etc. That's why we: republish only hand checked books; that are high quality; enabling readers to see classic books in original formats; that are unlikely to have missing or blurred pages. You can search "Leopold Classic Library" in categories of your interest to find other books in our extensive collection. Happy reading!

  • Letters Written During a Trip to Southern India & Ceylon in the Winter of 1876-1877 ...

    C R. Williams

Paperback (Ulan Press, Aug. 31, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
